Dina Lebowitz, DDS, MSc Perio, FRCD(C)

I have been improving the oral health of patients in Brampton and the surrounding areas as a Board-Certified Periodontist since 2007.
I earned my dental degree at the SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 2000 and my Masters of Periodontology at the University of Toronto in 2007.

In addition to practicing periodontics in private practice, I am also a clinical instructor at the University of Toronto undergrad Dental program. I also lecture about implants and periodontics including for ITG, implant training group.

In my free time, I enjoy a variety of interests including travelling, volunteering, theatre, reading and spending time with my husband and 4 children.

Course Outline

This webinar will give the clinician a clear understanding of the characteristics of a healthy implant periodontium and how to maintain it. In addition, I will discuss the inflammatory breakdown of the peri-implant tissues and how to treat it.

Course Objectives:

• To review implant maintenance and re-evaluation intervals
• Discuss at risk patients for periodontal breakdown around implants
• Explore aspects of SPT (supportive periodontal therapy)
• Peri-implant classification including health, peri-mucositis and peri-implantitis
• Diagnosis and treatment of peri-implant disease
